She studied with several master Chinese painters before moving to the <country-region /><place />United States</place /></country-region /> to continue her work. Gu's art now incorporates the best of Eastern and Western thinking with an emphasis on color, space, and the relationship between the two. Her use of traditional elements takes on new life with intricate detail and a strong sense of design. The artwork of Deena Gu has been featured in dozen of exhibitions and has been shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the United Nations.
