Peaceful Harmony: The Art of Deena Gu

Born in Shanghai, Deena Gu was recognized at an early age as having great talent. She studied with several master Chinese painters before moving to the United States to continue her work. Gu's art now incorporates the best of Eastern and Western thinking with an emphasis on color, space, and the relationship between the two. Her use of traditional elements takes on new life with intricate detail and a strong sense of design. The artwork of Deena Gu has been featured in dozen of exhibitions and has been shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the United Nations. The artist, who lives in Philadelphia, also maintains a studio in Falmouth. Find out more at www.deenagu.com.

The elegant rooms of Highfield Hall will provide a serene backdrop for the natural world as seen through the eyes of some of the regions top abstract artists. Mike Carroll, Bert Yarborough, Bailey Bob Bailey, Francie Randolph, Jan Lhormer, Carol Odell and Betty Fuller will participate in this group show. Most of the work will be available for sale with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Highfield Hall.
