Exhibition about the dramatic Highfield Hall restoration will include photographs documenting many memorable restoration activities and the story that goes with each. Related programming will include special tours of the building and a restoration painting workshop.

Born in Shanghai, Deena Gu was recognized at an early age as having great talent. She studied with several master Chinese painters before moving to the United States to continue her work. Gu's art now incorporates the best of Eastern and Western thinking with an emphasis on color, space, and the relationship between the two. Her use of traditional elements takes on new life with intricate detail and a strong sense of design. The artwork of Deena Gu has been featured in dozen of exhibitions and has been shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the United Nations. The artist, who lives in Philadelphia, also maintains a studio in Falmouth. Find out more at www.deenagu.com.

First Sunday Estate Walk & History of the Beebe Property

Join us on the first Sunday of each month for a special estate walk of the Beebe property. Learn about the building of Highfield Hall and its sister mansion, Tanglewood, explore the grounds and gardens, and hear about the Beebe family members who lived a lavish Victorian lifestyle during the late 19^th and early 20^th century. $5 donation suggested. Walks will not be held in the event of rain. Reservations are encouraged, but not required, by calling 508-495-1878, ext. 308 or emailing reservations@highfieldhall.org.

Rake & Bake (ages 5 to 9) Session 1

Elementary school-aged children will have the opportunity to participate in this unique and exciting program in 6 one-week, half-day sessions.

Together, we will grow a wide variety of herbs, vegetables, and even some edible flowers.

Every day, kids will cook something to eat and/or take home, and throughout the summer, we will make everything from fresh pasta and hand-thrown pizza to brioche, pickles, and jams!Plenty of outdoor time and daily participation in garden-related crafts and activities.

Woods Hole Then and Now, From the Woods Hole Historical Collection

The Woods Hole Historical Museum offers a reprise of their popular "Then and Now" exhibition. Included are historical images of Woods Hole along with the contemporary view, providing a wonderful historical perspective for modern day visitors to the village. Images of the early Fisheries, the Coast Guard station, the Marine Biological Laboratory, and village houses and business are included and offer mesmerizing context for this tiny, world-famous village of science.
